Center for international education and cooperation

International activity in BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov actively developing in recent years. It is aimed at attracting foreign intellectual and material potential, enriching the education system with the values of world culture and the experience of foreign universities, including the university in the international educational space.

Structure of the center

International activity has been thriving in V.G. Shukhov BSTU in recent years. Our university is committed to attract international intellectual and financial assets, to enhance the educational system with world culture values and experience of foreign universities and to include university into international educational space.

The international students' division was opened in 1994.  On the 28th of November,1997 the Department of International students and International activity was based on the ground of International Office.

In 2003 the Department was transformed into the Office of International Education and Partnership which includes the school of Russian language as foreign language.

In 2007 the Office transformed into Centre of International Education and Partnership, which included the international relations division, Inter-University Centre and Regional Resource center of German and French languages.

The Inter-University center of International Partnership and Academic mobility of V.G. Shukhov BSTU was created in 1997 by the decision of Rectors Council Of Belgorod Region, Academic Council of Belgorod State Technological Academy of Construction Materials (now BSTU) and Collegium of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. Inter-University center unites 21 state and non-state educational institutions including 8 Higher Educational Institutions and 13 branches of HEI. This Centre is executive body of International Partnership commission of Rectors Council Of Belgorod Region. In collaboration with Inter-University the Belgorod branch of International Students Association in Russia was opened.

We actively develop programmes which give an opportunity for the student to receive two diplomas. International internships and training for teachers, postgraduate and undergraduate students are also organized. There are foreign languages courses for students: English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese and Arabic.

More than 2,000 international students from 72 countries are studying in the University. 1700 of them are getting BA, MA or Ph.D. degrees, 320 are studying at the Foundation Course.

Since 2011  Evgeny V. Kapustin, Ph.D. in Economic Science, is head of the Centre of International Education and Partnership and Department of Foundation Courses for international students.

Ruslan V. Lesovik, Vice Rector for International Relations of V.G. Shukhov BSTU, Doctor of Technical Science maintains the work of the Centre of International Education and Partnership and Department of Foundation Courses for international students.
