• Vice-Rector for Science and Technology of Hadramaut University (Yemen), Professor Salem Awadh Ramodha paid a business visit to Belgorod. He delivered a lecture to students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov in order to acquaint them with his homeland. The event was attended by both Russian and foreign students.

• Opening of the exhibition of projects of American and Canadian architects "Architecture - an indicator of stability" in the Exhibition Complex of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The curator of the exhibition is a member, the honorary professor of the American Institute of Architecture, member of the International Academy of Architecture, member of the RAASN Spencer Brian. Acquaintance with the exposition is an excellent opportunity for staff and students of our university, city and regional leaders to get acquainted with modern trends in architecture and construction.

Within the framework of business visit, Mr. Murad Ahmad, the representative of the Ministry of education of the Sultanate of Oman, gave a lecture to the students of Shukhov technological university to give them an idea of economic situation in his home country and share personal opinion in business.

• On June 3, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov received the Delegation of the representatives of The Ministry of Higher Education of the Sultanate of Oman. The following members of the delegation arrived in Belgorod: Dr. Abdullah M. Al Sarmi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher education of the Sultanate of Oman; Dr. Mahmood Mubarak Habib Al-Suleimi, the director General, Directorate General of scholarship of the Ministry of Higher Education; Mr.Said Al-Rahbi, the head of Department for the recognition of foreign universities in the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Jami Fadel, the attaché on culture of the Embassy of Oman in Moscow, Captain Murad Al Mamari, the first student from the Sultanate of Oman studying at BSTU, master degree program.

• On June 9, 2010, received Ruth Da Conceсaio Sequeira Da Silva, head of the Department of students affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in RussianThe main purpose of her visit was stated by Ms. Ruth Da Concecaio Sequeira Da Silva as follows: «We are willing to extend and consolidate the interaction with your university. I have arrived to get familiarized with BSTU opportunities. I would like to know about the material base and the teaching level, security and accommodation issues. At present 13 students, citizens of the Republic of Angola are taking courses at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Our government is interested in greater number of students, studying in Belgorod, as we have urgent demand for highly-qualified engineers, especially for construction industry, information technologies etc».  Federation arrived on a visit to Belgorod state technological university named after V.G. Shukhov.

• Recently research and methodological centre for professional adaptation and recruitment of BSTU specialists and «Belgorod Regional Resource and Innovation Centre» at the Department of Economic Development in Belgorod oblast held a meeting between Willy Leufler, «TERMOFIN» director with the graduate students of the Faculty of technological equipment and complexes, faculty of technology and computerization of machine building and power engineering faculty. The meeting included the company presentation and interviewing the graduate students, who submitted their CVs and passed the interview.  The young specialists selected will have internship training in Germany at «TERMOFIN» factories with further employment at a factory to be constructed in Belgorod.    

• On June 15, 2010 the Dr.Eng.Youssef Hammood, General Manager of Public Establishment for Road Communications, deputy minister of transport of Syrian Arab Republic and Eng. Hassan Ezeddin Abu Khreish, Нead of Office Director General at Public Establishment for Road Communications of Syrian Arab Republic arrived on a visit to Belgorod State Shukhov Technological University.  The high representatives came to our city on a business visit, which includes familiarization with the achievements, material base, technical facilities and accommodation conditions of international students of BSTU. In addition, the visitors are planning to have a meeting with the local government officials, visiting the road construction establishment and inspecting the highways.  The delegation is going to visit local places of interest.

• On June 21 the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Columbia in Russian Federation including H.E. Diego Jose Tobon Echeverri, the ambassador, Andrei Agreda, the Secretary, Riccardo Santamaria, representative of the Embassy and other officials arrived in Belgorod at the invitation of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov.  In the course of the visit the delegation will see the major educational institutions in Belgorodia, meet local government officials and inspect some facilities related to agriculture and farming. The program of the visit includes 70th anniversary greetings addressed to BSTU president, professor, Dr. A.M. Gridchin, meeting Y.V. Kovrizhnykh, deputy-Chairman of local Government, head of the department for education, culture and Youth affairs at Belgorod oblast Government office, meeting V.Y Rodionov, head of agricultural complex department, deputy-head of Belgorod oblast Government. The delegation is going to meet the students, citizens of Columbia, studying at Belgorod State Agricultural Academy.

Business visit to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov delegation from Cologne (Germany) was held on August 4. As part of the delegation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KHD Humboldt Wedag (QCD «Humboldt Vedag») Mr. Jan Bruckner, General Director of the KHE Humboldt Engineering (SA), SA. Pogorelov, engineer-technologists of the firm KHD «Humboldt Vedag» Küne Klaus and Dr. Assmus Reinhard, interpreter N.G. Gorbachev. The main purpose of their visit: expansion of cooperation in the field of education, development of interaction with BSTU and enterprises of the construction industry of the city. A protocol of intent was signed.

German Professor marked the level of training On September 13 Mr. Hans-Bertrand Fisher, engineer, professor at the University of Weimar Bauhausconducted a lecture on «Current research in binders based on calcium sulfate» at Belgorod state Shukhov Technological University. 

On October 19, the representatives of the Syrian Arab Republic met the University Chancellor, Doctor of economic sciences, professor S.N. Glagolev. The delegation headed by the Deputy Governor of Damask region, Director of Technical Department and the Ministry of local Administration office, Eng.  Mohammad Akash arrived with an official business visit Professor S.N. Glagolev, told the visitors about the university, its plans and prospects.

• The delegation from Germany - the managing director of the company Heller in Dartmustadt, Slawomir Heller, managing director of TUV Rheinland Schniering in Essen, Dr. Hermann Meyerz Farwig, TUV Rheinland Schniering project manager in Essen, engineer Aziz Bourdan visited BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. A protocol of intent was signed. It provides the expansion of cooperation with German colleagues in the scientific and educational spheres.

• His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to the Russian Federation Mamadou Saliou Diop and First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Senegal to the Russian Federation Pope Samba Seck paid an official business visit to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
