The two-week visit of representatives of student government from the University of Nis (Serbia) has come to the end. The representatives of the student's parliament of the economic faculty from Nis University - four students specializing in “Economics”) Alexander Georgievich, Ivan Tsvetkovich, Neman Voselinovich and Stefan Stankovic.

18 of November the meeting with representatives of “Heidelberg Cement” company took place in the Institute of technological equipment and machine building. It was a question of the prospects for the development of cooperation between this German company and our university, started several years ago. The meeting of the employees of HeidelbergCement and Institute of technological equipment and machine building representatives was devoted to the discussion of new forms of interaction.

November 11 Andrey Porokhnya, Deputy head of the Russian House in Buenos Aires visited BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The Russian House is the office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Argentine Republic. The main directions of his work are the development and strengthening of cultural, scientific, business and public relations between Russia and Argentina, assistance in studying the Russian language and obtaining information about the history and culture of Russian peoples, its domestic and foreign policies, and the country's economic potential.

The associate professor of the machine-building faculty of the University of Niš Goran Vuckovic visited our university on October 28. In the program of visit of the Serbian guest - discussion of the prospects for further cooperation between our universities, lecturing for Belgorod students.

On September 21, the solemn opening ceremony of the first International architectural open-air was held in BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Representatives of the embassies of Syria and Egypt attended the opening ceremony: the Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Egypt, Dr. Atef Mugtamid, the Cultural Attaché of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) in Russia, Dr. Saad Zacher. And also an assistant to the chairman of the committee on defense of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Admiral V.P. Komoyedova and I.P. Novoselov.

On September 15, 2015 an exhibition of Egyptian artist and sculptor, Professor of Cairo University Osama El-Serwy was opened in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Chancellor of Belgorod State Technological University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Sergey N. Glagolev, vice-rectors of the university, directors of institutes, foreign guests, representatives of the student community attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition as well. The Museum and Exhibition Complex staff prepared three artist works for the exposition demonstration, these are sculptures of the oldest scientist of our university, Professor Iya G. Luginina, president of BSTU, who ten years had been working as the chancellor of the university, Professor Anatoliy.M. Gridchin and the turm of the great Palestinian poet and philosopher Mahmud Darwish.

A delegation of representatives of the State University Damanhur (Egypt) visited the university with a formal visit. Members of the delegation - vice-rector for international activities Hussein A. Motaweh and vice-rector for scientific activities Barakat Karolin arrived to strengthen partnership relations and develop scientific and cultural ties, coordinate directions of mutual interests between the two universities.

On September 8 chancellor of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Doctor of Economics, prof. Sergey N. Glagolev met with a professor of the University of Mississippi (USA) Todd Ashley Herring. Professor Herring expressed the desire to work as a professor at one of the departments of BSTU: "I would like to live in Belgorod, in order to learn Russian language more deeply." On the other hand, he would like to share his knowledge with our students.

The delegation from the Hulunbuir Institute (China) arrived to Belgorod State Technological University. The delegation included ten students, as well as Professor Zhang Jimei and chief project manager of the external cooperation department Wang Jing.

The Head of a private school “Founty” (Agadir, Kingdom of Morocco)-dr. Ali Bellouch is the guest of our university. On the first day of the visit representative of the Kingdom of Morocco met Rector Professor Sergey N. Glagolev. The sides discussed issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation, training of Moroccan students at the university, staff and students exchange, joint research, etc. It is not the first time for Dr. Ali Belouch here, he was our guest and taken away with the most enthusiastic impression. At this time the visit of a foreign guest will be until June 10. During this time Ali Belouch also plans to visit the Belgorod State Institute of Arts & Culture, and learn about the activities of the Belgorod State Agricultural University.

On June 10 the Representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Sultanate of Oman visited BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov with an official visit. They met with students from Oman, studying at the BSTU. V.G. Shukhov. They learned about the peculiarities of students’ life in Russia, their successes in education. The delegation inquired about the existing problems and outlined possible ways to solve them.

Visit of the delegation from Ales (France) was another proof of the attention of the administration of the foreign engineering university to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with our university. The delegation consisted of the head of the international service of the Higher Mountain School Serge Bastide, professor of the School Alexey A. Evstratov and ERASMUS Coordinator from the Department of Academic Mobility School Francoise Andre.

One of the most famous Egyptian artist and sculptor, a professor of Cairo University dr. Usama El-Serwy is an honor guest of our university and also became a professor of the Architecture department of our university. For long time dr. Usama was Cultural Attaché of Egypt Republic. Dr.El-Serwy graduated Cairo University and then studied at the Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad. He is an expert of Russian culture, the author of several books about Russian art, monuments by Chekhov, Tchaikovsky and Mendeleyev in Cairo, monument Said Darwish (the founder of the modern music of Egypt and the author of the national anthem) in Moscow.

He will be here for two weeks, during this time he will have some lectures for student of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. Also he had a meeting with the Rector of BSTU prof. Sergey N. Glagolev, they discussed future exhibition which will be in our university.

Delegation of the Republic of Lebanon visited our university with an official visit: First vice-rector, dean of the Faculty of Environment at the Lebanese State University Tayssir Hamiih and president of the Association of Russian-Lebanese friendship Samaha Bashir Abbas. Lebanese University - the only public university in the country. It includes 15 faculties, with an enrollment of over 70,000 students.

The delegation from Iraq Republic arrived at our university. Guests and head of the university met students from Iraq who are studying in universities of Belgorod. The foreign guests met with representatives of the academic council of the university.

At the end of March, the delegation from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov visited the State University of Ibn Zohr and the Institute of Funtiy (Agadir, Morocco). The delegation was composed of: Director of the Department of Informatization and Communication, prof. Alexandre V. Belousov and vice director of the Center for International Education and Cooperation Dr. Yaser S. Allaham. During the meeting they discussed issues of cooperation in the sphere of education and science, participation in joint grants and research projects. The meeting was held with the Consul of the Russian Federation in Morocco. A memorable gift was handed on behalf of the rector of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov prof. Sergey N. Glagolev.

In early February Belgorod State Technological university named after V.G Shukhov received Karl Kleinberg,  professor of Georgius Agricola University of Applied Sciences, who came on a business visit from Germany. The guest from Germany arrived at our university in order to establish mutually beneficial partnership, which involves joint development of training programs leading to double degree for both universities, coordination issues related to internships for graduate and doctoral students in the partner institutions, as well as aspects of student and staff exchange etc.
