On the 19th of November a delegation of the PRC visited the flagship university. The purpose of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and Linyi University.

On the 30th of October representatives of the UAE visit BSTU named after V.G Shukhov. Ali Habib - rector of  2 branches of Almansur and Ainshayf state university in Sharm el-Sheikh, an educational investor and H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz Nasser Ahmed Alraisi - Assistant Under Secretary National  Archives of the Ministry Presidential Affairs of the UAE met with the rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov S. N. Glagolev. The purpose of the visit was to negotiate the recognition of our university in the United Arab Emirates.

Gwen Le Saut from the Higher Mining School of the city of Ales (France) gave a lecture “Fundamentals of Crystallography and the Rietveld Method in X-Ray Phase Analysis” at the regional flagship university. There were students from second and third year students of the Department of Materials Science and Materials Technology.

The opening ceremony of the open air took place on September 25 at the territory of the flagship university of the region. The central theme is “Outstanding Scientists and Engineers of the World”. Among the participants of the event are professors, sculptors and architects: Osam El Servi (Egypt), Issa Dib (Syria), Hatim Hamid (Egypt), Bassam Ibrahim Susnak (Syria), Almadhun Khalil (Bahrain).

The opening ceremony of ICAM-2019 was held on September 23 at the high technology center of the flagship  university. There are more than 400 scientists participants and specialists in the field of applied mineralogy from 18 countries. Congress organizers: Ministry of Education and Science, Government of the Belgorod Region, BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov, RAS, RAASN, IMA, RMO, Institute of Geology, Komi Scientific Center, Ural Branch of RAS. Among the co-organizers is the metallurgical holding Metalloinvest.

On September 17, the second forum of public diplomacy “The role of graduates in the development of business partnership” was opened on the basis of the flagshigship university of the region. The event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, businessmen and professors from 30 countries of the world, heads of the largest Russian universities, representatives of the region’s authorities and business, employees and teachers of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

The delegation of South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Aeuzov had visited flagship university with official visit. The delegation included an academician, an honorary education worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhambyl Aimenov, and the director of the Research Institute of Building Materials, Construction and Architecture, Bakytzhan Sarsenbayev. They visited the campus of BSTU. V.G. Shukhov, met with the infrastructure of the university, its institutes and departments.

Institute of the Serbian language and communications of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov signed MOU with the Russian-Serbian Friendship Club “OSTLU-Serbia” of the Orthodox St. Tikhon Humanitarian University, with the Synodal Department of Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Belgorod branch of the All-Revolutionary Society “Rev. Justin Chelisky and Vranjsky”.

BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov was visited by a delegation from the Institute of Founti and Ibn Zohr University of Agadir, Morocco.The delegation included  the director of the Institute of Founti Ali Belouch, teachers Zineb Bassir and Khadija El Fati, as well as University Professor  of Ibn Zohr -Jamal Eddine Belouch. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the university, discuss joint projects, educational and scientific programs, international cooperation and scientific exchange.

The   delegation of the Republic of Sudan led by Ahmed Khalifa Mohamedali Idris, a counselor of the embassy in Moscow had visited BSTU named after  V.G. Shukhov  with business trip. The delegation also included the rector of the Merowe University of Technology- Dr. Mohammed Elamin Hamza Elamin Elmahi, and the dean of the Faculty of National Science Kamal Alhaj Alhasin Abdrahman. They came to Belgorod to sign a cooperation agreement with a supporting university in the region, to get a closer look at its activities and achievements.

At the  BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov with master classes and lectures came  a German expert in the field of technology and the use of concrete and cement, the executive director of the Swiss company Perfomance Selling Academy Zurich Area GmbH Jürgen Echnick. On February 26-28, Professor Eknik held a series of master classes for students, university research workers and leading specialists in the regional construction industry. Guest of Belgorod shared his rich scientific and industrial experience in the field of technological rationalization and economically sound application of modern binders, concrete, dry building mixtures, precast and solid concrete, architectural and decorative concrete.

Professor of Law Abdessadek Bounagui from the University Hassan I (Settat, Morocco) visited the flagship university on a working visit. It should be noted that the University Hassan I is a partner of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov from 2016.The purpose of the visit of the professor from Morocco was to get acquainted with the universities of the Belgorod region, to discuss issues of working on joint projects, international cooperation and scientific exchange, to discuss the possibilities of implementing joint educational and scientific programs. Special emphasis was placed on academic exchange issues.

Professor Sergei Glagolev, Rector of the flagship university, met with a delegation from Delta University from Egypt, led by the rector Mr. Yahya Abdelazim Ibrahim Elmashad and Professor of the University of Damanhur - Dr. Hussein Ali Mohamed Motaweh. The Egyptians, in the framework of the previously signed memorandum of cooperation, discussed with the leadership of Technologist the issues of bilateral cooperation: the implementation of joint scientific, educational and innovative projects, the preparation of joint training courses and programs for the training of Russian and Egyptian students, the holding of joint scientific conferences, seminars, student and teaching exchange, the implementation of double diplomas, work in areas of undergraduate and graduate programs.
